Survivor Stories

Annette's Story

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2008.

A few short days after receiving my diagnosis a member of the Pink Connection arrived at my door offering me much needed support and reassurance. I was also given a ‘Bundle of Hope’ box filled with helpful information on Breast Cancer.

A Breast Cancer diagnosis puts many fears into us.  But sharing those fears with others who are experiencing the same is very helpful.  Together we laugh, we cry, and we support each other through test results and surgical procedures.

Being a part of the Pink Connection has been a Blessing.

Together we celebrate life and are never alone 💕 – Annette

Steph's Story

Pink Connection has given me a feeling of sisterhood – knowing I wasn’t alone in my journey from a cancer diagnosis to surgery, treatments and recovery. Now I stay active with this group hoping I can help someone else feel the same way. – Steph

Lisa's Story

On March 2023, I casually meandered into the radiology department for my annual mammogram screening. No big deal…I’ve been doing this since 2020. However, I soon began to hear the word “abnormal;” and then “cancer”.  This began a whirlwind of procedures, treatments, etc.

However, in the midst of this all, I received a delivery to my door.  It was a Bundle of Hope from Pink Connection.  It was filled with resources/information, a journal, creams, etc. It provided a calmness.

This gift of support didn’t end there.  Pink Connection meets regularly.  After I attended my first meeting, I realized that I wasn’t alone. Thank you Pink Connection! – Lisa
